Gratitude

Gratitude is the value carried under the principle of Reciprocity — the recognition of what one has received, held alongside the accountability of what one owes in return. In an organization it is what keeps exchange from hardening into mere transaction.

Gratitude pairs acknowledgement with accountability, so that giving and receiving stay in living relationship rather than becoming a ledger.
