Ma'at
Ma'at is the ancient Kemetic framework of moral order — the understanding that life flourishes when it is lived in truth, balance, and right relationship. In CultureROOTS it is the framework a culture is read against, expressed through seven principles: Order, Balance, Harmony, Compassion, Reciprocity, Truth, and Justice.
The seven principles form a progression, each standing on the ones before it, and the classical image of the heart weighed against the feather of Ma'at gives the framework its standard: the distance between what an organization professes and what it actually protects. Ma'at supplies the standard the whole diagnostic is read against.
From the tradition of Kemet (ancient Egypt); grounded in the 42 Ideals of Ma'at and the Egyptian Book of the Dead.
